Florida has many good people in it working to make life better. Define better.
I have a long view on that. We the people must decide the definitions.
Unless the whole country is all a camp, I am not yet in a camp.
Joe has idee fixes, just like any other dementia sufferer. And his hatred of the Second Amendment, legal gun owners, and etc., is well known.
As is his compulsion to prove that he is The Smartest Guy In The Room by blurting out things his cronies would prefer the peasantry didn’t know about until they were fait accomplis.
For those who are not “Of the Body”, Joe has always been a useful mine canary.
Hmmm – Why should government get involved in a private company? “Woke” Disney will implode on its own when people stop coming… until then the Libertarian in me says to let ’em sit in their own stink and let the Market take care of them….
I do not share your optimism.
Corporations are damn near immortal and the entrenched Elites know it, which is why they dominate the Boards and continue to fill their pockets with the investors’ money.
I’m afraid the only way I’ll get to see `Song of the South` is after Disney Corp is broken up and sold in pieces in that last ditch effort to squeeze the last dime out of Uncle Walt’s genius.
And thus, barring the invention of common immortality for us peons, I’ll just have to hope someone steals it from the archives and posts it in the Net.
I have a DVD copy I picked up years ago. Not a good copy, but mine. The one cartoon I’d like to find is that about mouse that wanted to be a bat. There’s a song in there, “You’re nothing but a nothing”, that could apply to one sex thinking they could be another. Wings on a mouse do not make it a bat.
May the collapse of the Perverted Mouse come swiftly. For there to be any justice, the people making sure various perversions in their products, and bragging about it, should be tarred, feathered, and run out of Florida. Then my grandkids could maybe see `Song of the South`.

Thank you very much.
You’ve deprived me of a regret.

If I am correct, as I sometimes am, I believe that the actual government control and law making that a County has in Florida concerning laws and rules making is what has been removed from the control of the Mouse (the corporation) through the Reedy Improvement District, and taken by the State of Florida through the appointment of the new officers in the newly named district.
The Mouse still is a corporation and all of the corporate existence continues.
Now the new district has to deal with the mundane actions such as contract negotiations with the district employees such as the Firefighters union. Regional County and Local zoning and planning is also removed from the control of the Mouse.
The Mouse used to have all of the powers that a county had concerning the area in Reedy Creek district, as defined in the original granting of power back in the 1950’s when the district was formed.
Thank you NotYet, saved me from saying all of that truth. DeSantis didn’t (and doesn’t want to) kill the Mouse, just remove it’s ability to spread its vermin disease with impunity.

Yet … Dementia Joe did once support blasting a double-barreled shotgun outside the door if there was a perceived stranger danger.
He said something to the effect ‘Just fire the shotgun through the door.’
BTW … isn’t this right now Girl Scout cookie season when Girl Scouts go door-to-door selling their Thin Mints? Get ready to duck and cover Girl Scouts!
Anyways … here’s some of that home defense advice from Shotgun Joe Biden:
I like that, beat the cheat. But I don’t think it will or can be Trump. We conservatives keep repeating the same mistakes, like nominating Cox for governor instead of the more moderate Kelly Schulz. Liberals donated over a million dollars to Cox’s campaign knowing that he could never win in Maryland, while the more moderate Schulz had a chance. The same is true for Trump. The liberals will back Trump and the mindless conservatives will nominate him setting up a big loss for Republicans in 2024. Meanwhile there are more moderate candidates like DeSantis or Kristi Noem who could usher in a whole new era of conservatism.
I feel the same way, Pete. It’s time for the young bloods such as DeSantis and Noem (I’d be good with either or both!) to take over. I voted from Trump in 2016 and 2020 (fixed election), but there’s a whole bunch of people who absolutely hate Trump and both DeSantis and Noem are far more even tempered than Trump.
I would prefer DeSantis stays and keeps Florida Free.
I will vote for Trump just to PO the prog dims and other crazies.
Besides, with the previous elections as an example, what makes us think either of them would win?
“with the previous elections as an example” … My thought also, seen any correction to prevent repeat of what happened last time?

Can’t say if Trump is the man this ground, but much of the doubt and antipathy of RINO’s today is a rerun of ’16 (and to a significant degree, ’20). And look what happened; he took the preference cascade by storm and took their infrastructure away from them and they fell in line like the Pied Piper. Then when ’20 came, it was not just the libs or the election fraud that ousted him; those “moderates” you mention within the so-called Republican Party had more of a hand than them.
The very last damn thing we need are “moderate” candidates; liberals masquerading as D’s so that whichever party wins, socialism takes the seat. BTW, DeSantis has allied with some with money and questionable goals, but based on his performance in this state, he is far from “moderate”.

I am unable to refute or verify such facts.

This “ground = go ’round.
Damn it man. “Masquerading as D’s” = masquerading as R’s, (though anymore, hard to tell the difference).
Fat fingers, spellcheck, or AI? Hmmm.
JTC,
Autocorrect only changes what I mean to say. Errors go right through.
The gaslighting AIs SpectreDC is using are really, really effective. Not to mention the Soma they’re putting in the water…
Well maybe the Masqueraders need to Skip and Go Nekkid.
See what they are made of…
I really think you do Not want to see that. I do not like throwing up and just thinking of seeing that/them…
