About a two and a half month supply of range ammo for us mere mortals. Of course, if Sam, Naomi, ‘Toly, and Zed all go to the range together, it’s probably just a busy afternoon.
Nah. All she needs is a better mirror-instinct for picking out the cops from the masses. California freeways were a good proving ground and have helped avoid tickets lo, these last 7 decades.
Texas has (or had) few traffic cops out in the hinterlands, in my experience. Just slow down entering towns.
But…lessons ain’t for getting grades or eluding the popo…they are for survival in life and on the road, I think is what Zed has in mind for the leadfooted and bigtittied young’un…

Just passin’ on the lore. Like gun handling, taking a car out of a slide, techniques not taught in Driver Ed anymore, etc.
My job is cutting down Midway’s once-fired .223 cases and reforming into .300AAC. Bullets/IMR1680 are going to be a problem once I run out of current Obama stock.
All work is honorable. That definitely includes savage deplorable work, especially savage deplorable inspired work. Muscle memory and mind body memory will be increased in those areas. Someone who can quickly provide fresh reload ammo is a valued person indeed. A great asset when needed.
That’s cheating, we know you have a fancy progressive press; case feeder, auto prime, auto charge… the whole works. She isn’t going to be using a “Lee Loader” and beam balance scales with a trickler.
using a Lee ‘turret press’ (manual indexing) would be a reasonable punishment.
No point making it too hard or she’ll neverwant to do it for herself.
Besides, they can’t use the ammo until she’s finished 😉
Never bought one of the Dillons, the most I did was use the auto-index on the turret press, I like to screw things up slowly so I can see how I did it 😉
Ah, the good old days, spend a quiet Sunday morning loading a few hundred rounds each of .45/9mm/.357 and a nice Sunday afternoon shooting what I just made.
Yes sir Steve, hence my .05 per rd. suggested wage…
Tough job done well for a decent wage, proper supervision, hard lessons and lifelong skills learned, all combining to make a Free Independent Productive Citizen.
It ain’t rocket science, but for all of that that is lacking in the work force rising, you’d think it was.
Progressive presses can make huge quantities if mediocre ammo in a hurry, or deadly dangerous stuff with one setup error. If I’m going to release tens of thousands of pounds per square inch of chamber pressure a few inches from my nose, repeatedly, I want every round to be exactly right.
All not taking into account Sam’s last bulk buy; with prices so high she went with the Wolf, research showed decent shootbility at a much lower cost, BUT, the kid will be so happy to see those steel cases*…so will Sam learn a lesson here too?
Well she won’t see them because they didn’t keep them, but you get m’drift…

A mother’s love….
What’s better than a Deplorable?
A Savage Deplorable! 🙂
Chris, can’t be a Savage Deplorable in moderation! Let Me Out!
I have no idea why some of those get held up.
I think because I added Savage…but of course I had to! 😀
Thank you, Chris.
Sam’s upset she didn’t think of it first.

Gonna need a couple more cans, poor kid.
Ironically, as her fingers get sore and raw, it’s her foot that will be more touchy in the future, her gas pedal foot! Funny how that works…

Will there be a future story arc where the twins join the military?
Not the Milley Tary, for sure.
There is nothing to be gained by joining this military. District managers for Bass Pro or starring in their own outdoor channel.
Ooo. Liking that last career choice option…
Combining their life experiences and talents on the ranch with proper display of the girls in cutoff camo’s…and the girls.? 😉
RednexTxChx, on the Discovery Channel…
I guess I’m slacking, I finished reloading 300 .223 cases a couple hours back.

Dillon Precision on their contact list. A DA 3000 is on it’s way!
3200 5.56 rounds on a Dillon 1050 wouldn’t be too brutal. On an RCBS RockChucker, it’s a one-month sentence. CASE TRIMMING?? AUGH!
Let’s see … 3200 rounds for a $160 ticket – that’s 20 rounds for a buck.
Fair wages, considering the circumstances.
Good job, parents. Lessons learned (hopefully) and valuable skills enhanced.

You know how much we all love Sam’s cans….
OK, THAT is funny.
My empty ammo boxes feel the same way .

Good secondary question, HRL…is she loading for .223 or 5.56?
Every barrel I own is chambered for 5.56… And the AR-10 is .308.

Visual and Verbal Double Entendres are so much fun.
Excellent Chris! Nice Ammo Cans.
