In the red areas, most parents probably don’t know how to answer that sort of question. And frankly aren’t sure they want to know the answer.
In the blue archipelago, the children are being told how wonderful it is for the State to be able to remake you into what it thinks you should be.

What will we do as a moral people is up to us. What people who ‘do what they wilt’ do to a nation is always beyond the nation being able to survive.

Paying off the debt is important. Running the nation for the benefit of the people rather than the few is the only way it works. Laws guide much. Discussion of good people can decide much.

I think the quickest way to stop the Millies from voting that way is for their older relatives to tell them there will not be any type of inheritance should the Soc Comms get voted in.
Rather like friend of mine, told his grown kids, first one to suggest dad goes in a home, get cut out of the will.

One of the problems with that kind of polling is most people… and, yes, millennials are actually people… are taught that socialism is hugs & tugs where the government takes care of all your needs and the big bad millionaires foot the bill. Utopian at best.
Pull any particular individual out of the flock and ask them to detail how socialism actually works and you’ll get the blank NPC stare.
So were “1984” and “Fahrenheit 451” but it seems these are the rules of “Clown World”.
