Too bad we can’t put a lock on it, trap them in there, and just ignore them.

NG troops outside the fence to protect Americans, from what’s inside. Locks on the exterior.

I seem to remember when it was first put up, that it was assembled wrong. Pictures seemed to show U-bolt type clamps holding the pieces together had the nuts on the outside. Helps to make certain other nuts stay on the inside. Prophetic.

And like Octavian’s daughter, leave them there to starve! (Although it was her Mother that locked her in her room.)

OUCH! Oh, hell! That razor wire is sharp.
Is freedom in the states now, with DC in cages? Nobody seems to be listening to the DC now.
It’s not nice to put people in cages. Do you think the Congress critters can get out?
I have a photo of my father as a child sitting on the capitol steps with no one at all around him in the photo which encompassed the central huge steps and most of the two chambers.
It was August. Back then, before air conditioning, nobody of any importance stayed in the D of C for August.
If they can’t get out? Shiny!

    Perfect TZ episode:

The Elites mercilessly take over the Shiny City and revel in their brilliance and their power with the Uniformed Ones to protect them…

And in the final scene they realize their razor cage has been turned inward to imprison them, and The Uniforms have been turned against them, and they will be kept there, to revel in their brilliance…forever.

Razor wire tends to corrode and break apart fairly quickly, particularly if the environment is a humid, brackish swamp.

Then the wind flings the pieces around wrecking havoc on vehicles, structures, pets, and, oh yes, people.

    Should be a fun summer.

That fence looks vaguely familiar. Oh yeah. Mid-70’s, I was stationed in West Germany. Took a day and walked the grounds of Dachau.

    • February 20, 2021 at 8:43 am

I’ve been to Dachau. Chilling place. The sun seems to dim as you enter the grounds.
It is a testimonial to National Socialist (no different than any other socialist) one party rule with a dictator at the top of the party.

I spent twenty years in the Army trying to stop the advance of this cancerous, envious ideology. But here it is.

In the late 70’s or early 80s we took the early train from Munich and experienced a walk there returning on the late train.
That was wrong. Today, the new powers believe that they are correct ,again.

On acceptance: We are being told to accept that the Red Tsunami that reelected President Trump in the greatest, most consequential landslide of the modern era never existed, yet must be renounced then forever forgotten. We are being told to accept They Got Away With It (snicker) so Nothing Can Ever Be Done To Remove Them (snicker snicker). What is most deeply disturbing is that this is being peddled by so many “on the Right” pundits, who’ve also begun pushing the blatantly absurd narrative that our only hope lies in electing “better” Republicans in 2022 and then somehow getting PDT back in the Oval Office in 2024 despite an exponentially more rigged system that will make the 2020 Election Terror Attack look like spitballs.

NOTHING IS MAKING ANY SENSE !!!

Fervently hoping DBD can survive the ongoing purge of free speech.

The use of National Guard to secure Washington brings in some “interesting” politics. Using the Guard could be a means to keep ready “regular” forces free to deal with any contingencies, but it also puts “state” forces at the scene of the action. “Interesting”, in a Constitutional sense……

So long as the National Guard forces are being brought from the donor states via EMAC, and subsequently paid with Title 32 funds (this is the key), AND are missioned to support local law enforcement (or some such), it’s perfectly legal.

This, of course, does not address the issues of ethical, moral, or fattening…

I’ve maintained for some time that the states need electoral colleges, and that cities (in some case entire counties Miami-Dade and JAX-Duval) above a certain population threshold should be sandbagged so these ridiculous population centers can’t wag the dog. Additionally, cities need to keep themselves in the black instead of stealing from the state (looking at you NYC).

As to DC, to quote Master Blaster, “EMBARGO ON!”

Still wondering, RE: the Federalized NG troops stationed at Mordor-on-the-Potomac; can the Governors DE-Federalize their soldiers and bring them home? (But leave the fence, locked and wired)

    • February 20, 2021 at 5:44 pm

Technically they could. It depends on the nature of the orders assigning them (National Guard forces) to the current mission. I doubt they’re federalized in the formal sense – probably using T32 funds from somewhere to pay, and then those sources get reimbursed from the feds via FEMA. All nice and legal.

All this talk about walling off Congress has another edge to the blade.
What if the DNC simply cuts Congress out of the government entirely and rules from the White House?

      JTC

No need. As I discussed on the phone yesterday with NYIAC (thanks for the call brother!), they believe they have and may indeed have, total control of all THREE branches, with JoHo in the WH, peelosi and turtle-boy running both houses of Congress, and I have a sick feeling about our “majority” at SCOTUS that makes my skin crawl…they have it all, and will certainly double down to secure it and retain it in perpetuity…that’s what an oligarchy does.

So. Wall it all in, keep it all in, and build a new Republic starting now. CRA.

Day By Day will be around to poke them all in the eye, I have no worries there, as far as it being targeted by the libs. For a while at least. As to the left being able to permanently shutdown all free speech platforms like they think they’ve done with Baen’s Bar and Project Veritas? Nope. At least five Baen Authors have denounced the little weasel, Sanford, in explicite detail, showing that he has at a minimum, deliberately misrepresented his so-called ‘Facts,’ and more than likely committed Slander against half of the people he named in his ‘Investigative Report.’

Eric, Flint did alright, although he did come off the rails and begin attacking the people he started off by defending, and Larry Correia did an outstanding job of showing a clear case for people to sue Sanford for Libel. Have not seen the one by Colonel Tom Kratman yet, who was a Lawyer, which might be something I’ll need a cigarette for after…
