Those horns…what the hell happened to music in the last half century? God it hurts to contemplate that, wasn’t it yesterday? Oh crap now look what I’ve done…
They don’t marry their sisters, even that won’t pass muster with the local Parson.
Cousins is another matter in certain necks of the woods. Don’t even get started on the incestuous pairings in the Swamp. D.C. is a strange family dynamic.
I read somewhere that first cousin pairings were only marginally less safe than the standard of 3rd cousins. Even sibling unions aren’t a huge risk unless there is a particularly bad recessive gene hiding in the family pool. As a small “L” libertarian I do not consider it my place to judge who somebody chooses to shack up with. I don’t care who somebody marries so long as they don’t get in my face about it. So long as it doesn’t slop over into my back yard I don’t give a damn what my neighbor does in his back yard. If it does slop over into my back yard then (and only then) we have a problem.
Swing your dead cat wherever you want, just so long as it doesn’t harm others, eh?

First cousin marrying is acceptable in Sharia.
And it happens often. Genetic problems abound.

It’s not that it’s going to instantly create “Elephant Child”. It’s that inbreeding causes a slow loss of cumulative intelligence and will eventually introduce birth defects and congenital disorders. Let it go on long enough with enough people and you get a society of low intelligence people with lots of health issues.
It is in any society’s best interests to discourage inbreeding. This is why in MOST major religions it is frowned upon. (Guess which one is the exception? Hint: it involves a guy named Mo.)
As a Large “L” Libertarian (County Chair) I think that the only valid reason for the government, at any level, to be involved in marriage is to ensure that the contract is carried out.
And that articulated right there is one of many reasons why the Libertarian party has nothing whatsoever in common with libertarianism. Let gov defend the borders and from enemies foreign and domestic and I’ll handle my own damn marriage contract and all my other ones.

Speaking of marrying your sister, didn’t Ilhan Omar marry her brother Ahmed Emli to ensure he didn’t get deported? Oh, those pesky Dems!!
There is good evidence to support it happened, however: “While being legally married to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, Omar has publicly identified Ahmed Hirsi as her cultural husband and father of her children.”
And I’m not sure what is a “cultural husband”. Is that like how Barry’s dad had a “cultural wife” back home when he hooked up with Barry’s mom?

I’m reading about Princes Kamose and Ahmose of Egypt (1550 BC). Ahmose, founder of the 18th dynasty, married his younger sister to keep the royal bloodline going, but as she was apparently a babe, he didn’t seem to mind. Different times…
The Egyptian pharaohs had royal or fully royal marriages, as much s possible. That would mean — brother/sister and father/daughter. as fully royal, and close relatives, otherwise. Akhenaten’s misshapen body was an example of their close breeding. He took his mother as his second wife (usually forbidden) and Nefertiti (a beauty) as his first wife. Greeks kept the tradition. Cleopatra VII was married to her brother.

OT: The other day I watched an episode of “Death Valley Days”, the anthology oater from the 50s and 60s (1952 – 1970). The episode was about the newspaper man who got the news out about the Little Big Horn massacre. It focused upon his efforts and that of the publisher to get the truth out despite an attempt by the War Department to quash the story. Imagine that! Journalists fighting to tell the truth. Against the federal government no less! Wonder what those folks would think about so called “journalists” in our time?
OT: Not all “journalists” are incapacitated by “Trump Derangement Syndrome”

It gets better/worse. He had a 1995 felony conviction, they missed it in the background check in 2014 and gave him an Illinois Firearms Owner ID card. He got a handgun 2 months later, 5 days afterwards he applied for CC but this time a “more rigorous” check caught him. Illinois state troopers mailed him a letter to surrender the gun, he never did. And they never followed up.
So of course in the case of the system screwing up yet again, the proposed remedies are assault weapon ban and universal background checks, neither which applied.
It does though give a glimmer of dark hope that if the cops can’t be bothered to disarm a violent felon whose address they know, those proggie “surrender them or die sooner” laws might not be too effective.

And the two were released… Strange that available video data only places the two Nigerians as in the area.
I was unaware that Nigerians known as vociferous Trump supporters.
I was half dozing off at the time, but I think the news even stated that they were past business acquaintances of Smollett.
I mean I did spring from the Tennessee hills so I guess I’m a hillbilly, and I have been known to consort with five sisters to whom I am quite connected, so yeah I guess we are related. It always felt so right, but I did always hear it was wrong and could make you retarded…
There is a reason why your aunts and uncles emphasized knowing how you are related to different people while growing up. Consanguinity is taken seriously. Strange how people who pay close attention to that are denigrated by the holier than thou shit monkeys from the city.

Not gonna play well with Sky’s internal fantasies. (As witnessed in previous story arcs)
Sisters, sisters
There were never such devoted sisters,
At least they aren’t doing a fan dance in Florida
I’ve got a bunch of sisters but I save my kissing for my non-sister fiance… lol

I never understood why dating my best friend’s sister was supposed to be taboo. But then i never had a sister of my own.
Because if your best friend is your brother-in-law then there’ll be fighting over who gets him in the divorce.
Especially when it comes to Hunting Season
When you can’t find a convenient mouth-breathing hillbilly sister-humping MAGA man, you just write one into the script:

Which it absolutely is. Let’s see if they investigate THAT.

Hint, Mrs. Palm also involved, in the vein of Portnoy and his complaint. 🙁
JTC,
A (/sarc) tag would have helped make your point more clear. Jus’sayin’, ya know?
It would TDBW, but I operate under the assumption if one is needed then either the readers are too dense or the humor is.
As indicated in my mea culpa above I know which one it is here.
Was Cashmere Bouquet involved…. 😉
