Federal – – Agency. But they have never been task-organized to actually do Emergency Management, ever. That goes back to what I saw in the aftermath of the Mariel boatlift, when Carter told Castro that opening up his jails was Ok as part of the deal.
I had a FEMA drone show up at the shelter I was working at in South Carolina. Didn’t ask if we needed anything, didn’t offer anything, didn’t even leave a card. Just 15 minutes of word salad from a creased blue polo shirt. All our supplies and equipment, including trailers with showers and bathrooms, and the people to manage them, came from state, county, and local sources.
This has becomepretty much the standard for all gov’t services, they just announced the youth job creation program for next summer will be prioritized for race, gender and religion: straight caucasian xtian or Jewish boys or girls need not apply…last time it was based on whether or not you’d ever said anything negativer about the liebrals so I’d imagine that’s in there permanently.
They most likely will be. The next election, assuming it even happens, is slated for October (unless the dippers decide to save what they can while they still have something) and firing an appointed board member who’s probaby related to some permanently appointed senator isn’t that easy. No Senate elections up here.

The Anger and Bile within is rising…
The fact that these people are actually behaving in the manner described in hundreds of reports, is why FEMA withdrew a number of ‘Their People’ from the Disaster Zones.’ Their actions have led to people feeling Fucked over by the Government that is supposed to provide aid in the event of Overwhelming circumstances, but *This* current Administration continues to target specific demographics for punitive responses. And the ‘Crimes’ for which they are being punished? Being White, Christian, and born in the US or legally Naturalized citizens.
Most of Florida hit by Milton, is almost back to normal, and/or will be within another week. Ever since the Storm season 18-20 years ago, Central Florida has become the experts on Storm damage prevention and recovery. The two main areas where it is going to take more time is the west and east coast where Milton Came ashore and then exited Florida, and even there, recovery efforts are going well.
FEMA and the Harris Administration* has a lot to answer for.
* Yes I said Harris Administration. At this point(Months ago truth be told), Joe Bumbles Biden is just not mentally competent enough to hold accountable for the Administration operating in his name. It’s all on Harris.

There needs to be a reckoning for this. Heads need to roll at FEMA.
The ‘rolling of heads’ needs to start much higher than FEMA management.
