After finally deciding on details (eg amount) I’m sending a physical check by physical male — er mail — today to cover support costs (but don’t go too far overboard in that direction visually or we may get overbored).
In any case, I just mention that because yesterday’s strip said seven days to go, which means 6 days to go this morning. I haven’t sent an actual physical letter in I don’t know how long, so I don’t know how quick they are these days. I’m hoping the ponytail express gets it there before the six days are up. It’s comin,’ it’s comin’…
Something interesting happened when I contributed on the website yesterday…. A possible fraud alert popped up in my messages… It asked if my charge for DBD was valid…. I immediately replied yes ….. I checked my statement right after and the charge was allowed….I’m glad that my creditor checks that …. but sometimes I wonder if it’s just because they do not like who I’m giving money too. ????
I get that kind of alert message all the time nowadays, even when it’s something innocuous. There’s so many fraudsters and scammers out there that the card companies are dialing up the sensitivity to unusual charges in general, I think. Anything which seems “off-pattern” with respect to your recent transaction history — vendor you’ve never done business with before; a vendor whom you normally only make small purchases from ($50 or less) suddenly making a $500 charge (I had a Best Buy charge flagged this way once when I bought a high-ticket appliance there); etc., etc.
I get this in various unrelated purchases in my life too; what the Nth Dr says seems endemic now.

I wish I would be flagged because I was making a $500 drop to my DBD…:/

I just ended up with a new credit card because of a bogus charge that the bank denied twice. The hilarious part is that it was an online dating site.
Now we have a quite satisfying intimate life together, but we are OLD, old.
Funny – last year my credit-card and I went round and round about charges to this “DBD Company” (Chris may remember) this year? Just the regular “did you authorize this!” email, with no other problem.
If Sam needs some support for “those”, I can lend a hand or two. Gladly! Trying to scrape the money together for the Sam/Zed level. It’ s gonna be close!

Very shrewd Chris. Yes we must support “these”! C’mon everybody, throw a little more it. Think of it as dollar bills in the garter.
…more in. What is with this auto correct?
At least YOUR autocorrect didn’t go full “More On”. I can’t vouch for mine!
Nice Behind; support we must 😉

I guess they remembered…
Fourth installment enroute. Wish it all could’ve been more, but there’s not a lot of stretch in a fixed income . . .
Disney, Target, Anheuser-Busch, the USDOJ … they all leave their base customers black and blue … where’s the first aid kit?

As usual I’m late Chris Don P check coming this week. Hope that helps get over the hump. Best always. A.W.
Dang Andrew Weber, you are my hero! Thank you from all the guys and gals on both sides of the DD wall!
What a hate filled message since companies want to expand their base not keep it a narrow strip of people. They love you; you hate them.
You seem to like posting here.
How much did you send in to keep the website going?
