Make sure there aren’t any residual BUGS and PARASITES.

Real tough to clean; like the dead wax on the floor by the walls. Unlike that, though, a new broom doing a thorough sweeping can do wonders.
Putty knife or a scraper will do a real job on that if you let the floor cleaner sit on it for a while.
