Brewster County, Texas. The largest county in Texas with 6,192 square miles and a population of 9.500. The county is more than three times the size of the Delaware, and 500 square miles larger than Connecticut. The county motto is “The Last Frontier.”
Home of the Double D Ranch. Alpine is the county seat, and in DBD, Tucker is the Sheriff.
None of the four towns and three unincorporated areas have their own police force. The Sheriff’s Office is responsible for law enforcement throughout the county and consists of the Sheriff, a Chief Deputy, a Captain, and three Constables. It is a 3 and a half hour drive from the Sheriff’s Office in the courthouse at Alpine to the most remote Constable.
Wouldn’t be surprised if Tucker has deputized a few people at the Double D.
Not too sure about that. There are lots of counties (254) in Texas, there are lots ending in “R”.
People in the east might be impressed with the size of Brewster, but it would only be in the middle of the pack (seven larger, seven smaller) in Arizona.
The real question is who is the county next door that would tolerate gross abuse of our Constitution. Now what area did Beno, the fake Hispanic, represent?

Beno is in Hidalgo County if not mistaken – McAllen, Mission. Sharyland. Lots of money there with the maquiladora managers.

Well, there is Brewster County at Big Bend, and there is Starr county way down South, holding Rio Grande City.
Those are the only two Counties in Texas that end in “R” and are sited on the Rio grande River.
There are also Parker, Fisher and Taylor, in the middle of the State.
there are also Lamar, Jasper, Walker and Tyler in the East.
It sure can’t be Bexar County, that would be San Antonio area.

Damn, every now and then I like to expunge my frontal lobe of all the bullshit that surrounds us and just marvel at the awesomeness that is the comment section at DBD, y’all are great. 🙂
Kinda like that old The Outer Limits episode “Demon With A Glass Hand” in which the hero repels an invading force while also trying to save the last remnants of humanity.
The episode was filmed inside the famous Bradbury Building in Los Angeles and the episode was written by Harlan Ellison, whose other works also inspired The Terminator (I think he sued and got credit on the original Terminator movie.) The other work was another TOL episode titled “Soldier.”
While the early 60’s special effects are outdated … it was excellently written and it’s worth a watch.
There is a very pleasing aspect to this development.
This FBI must have local support, and local sheriff where there is an elected sheriff.
R answers only to his Sheriff. No one else can give him orders. I hope that the Sheriff issued him the badge even if just by handing it to R200, or acknowledges the badge later.
If R was a Texas Ranger, I believe that Rangers are answerable to the Governor.
The politically correct ones seeking Sam belong in The Little Rascals, as they have been Stymied.
As a disclaimer, never rely on anything I state. I have a wonderful imagination and sometimes see and state things as I wish they should be.
Jurisdiction is a wonderful thing. Sometimes. Nice badge.
To wit: I may have theoretical jurisdiction over me and mine, God has empirical jurisdiction over His universe, then there is everything else in between that wants and will impose its jurisdiction if allowed…and aye, there’s the rub, that goes straight to your “sometimes”.

Use care! The Feebs know that they will be protected as was the Nancy-Boy who murdered Ashli B.. Not that they would do anything like that in Texas, but you never can tell what they will do, now that the Consitution and the laws have been abrogated.
Careful Mike. Can’t casually talk murder where Ashli Babbitt’s death is concerned. Might get that lying worm Sanford poking around, looking to do more injustice with his ‘in-depth, investigative journalism.’
Last I checked, Baen’s Bar is still offline. A shame, as I was using the Slush Pile for stories…
Do you really have to ask? Rumor is that all Feebie IDs and badge numbers will start with “00”, i.e. License to Kill. Like the Ashli Murderer.
The new name at the Pentagon will be “The Demokrat People’s Army”. All checked for loytalty to the Party, and sheeit.
Shame that we no longer have a Constitution. That used to be a focus for loyalty in the Old Republic. Now, not so much. Now just a pile of Gubbmint Stooges (“GS” ranks; Don’ Cha’ No?). The “Party” don’t worry ’bout nuffin like dat. Dey Kalls’em Kunsultants. I trhink they’ll be going wit “UDSA”, and the currency will be printed by Milton-Bradley. If you’uns gotta rite, use small sentences and simple words. It’s Equitee or sometin lik dat.
I think I missed something. Did Hoggly Woggly accuse Sam of something, or were the SS troops there looking for her, and Hoggly just pointed her out (not that Sam would need to be pointed out!).
Lubbock Lights were a one-time thing, back in 1952. I believe you have confused that incident with the ever ongoing Marfa Lights over in Presidio County.
I was thinking last night (as I am wont to do in the wee hours) about the warnings the Founders gave us about standing armies. I realized the U.S. military isn’t the standing army we need to worry about, but the one that answers to the DOJ, definitely has problems with the boundaries set down in the Constitution. It would appear we are being pressed to the inevitable use of Vanderbeogh’s Rule .308
Looking over some of the arrest documents, and the Bond hearings;
People are being jailed for what I’m calling ‘Dress Code Violations’ (‘Paramilitary clothing’ gets you arrested in DC now? Really?)
If you’re a registered Republican or know to have voted for Trump even though registered as a Democrat, no Bond for you. If you were an Antifa/BLM Agent Provocateur on Jan 6th, you’ll be released by a Utah judge on minimal bond.
I have intentionally never ventured into the d of c. Must I get my t shirt that has a drawing of the USA in red on it with the arrow pointing to the USA and the comment stating that: “If you live here, Donald J. Trump is your President.: Then take one of those walking self tours broadcast to the internet that follows the outside of the capitol fence. Several people do walks like that, one, I believe, once a day.

Counties in SW TX that end in “r”,
And that issue a badge to a bot…?

Well, according to this; FiBBIES now control counties.

Always liked that episode.
So R200 is a County Mountie, not a Texas Ranger (too bad).
I can see mr Big, Bad, and Black taking a swing at R200 (any excuse), and ending up with a severely broken hand (my sympathies and condolences – NOT!)
Followed by firing his Taser and shocking himself, then discharging his weapon and having the ricochets hit him.
There is a very pleasing aspect to this development.

And as a concept is just so awesomely malleable!
To wit: I may have theoretical jurisdiction over me and mine, God has empirical jurisdiction over His universe, then there is everything else in between that wants and will impose its jurisdiction if allowed…and aye, there’s the rub, that goes straight to your “sometimes”.
Would be cool if R had The Hulkster as backup…….

Redirect them to Lubbock. They can spend time chasing the Lubbock Lights, which could be geese or aliens – take your pick.
Or there’s Odessa. All I remember about Odessa is sandstorms, one after another…

If this, like Hastings, and Healy (?, CA), are what they could be, as they easily could be, we are mired in the asymmetric war and must slog through it, becoming better than they are. I did not define terms. Physically, I am only aware of right where I am and see.
