Isn’t there some types of carrion even a buzzard won’t eat? I suspect those Washington DC wind chimes would fit into that category.

Sadly, it appears to be a process that needs repeating every fifty years or so… Like weeding.

    On government….

Democracy is based on the assumption that a million men are wiser than one man. How’s that again? I missed something.

Autocracy is based on the assumption that one man is wiser than a million men. Let’s play that over again, too. Who decides?

Any government will work if authority and responsibility are equal and coordinate. This does not insure “good” government; it simply insures that it will work. But such governments are rare–most people want to run things but want no part of the blame. This used to be called the “backseat-driver syndrome.”

    Robert A. Heinlein

Our current ‘government’ has authority but is never responsible for failed policies or decisions.

What is the easiest non-lethal way to encourage the illegals to “self-deport”?

    1) Put in legislation to end any path to citizenship for illegals

    2) Cancel any current amnesty

    3) Make any form of benefits subject to citizenship (current or pending)

No need to catch, process and provide an opportunity for the poverty industrial complex to use lawfare to interfere with deportations… As soon as grifting isn’t viable, they’ll move on…

If you want to speed the process, provide a financial incentive to all levels of law enforcement for every illegal turned over to ICE as a result of contact during misdemeanor investigations…

Make it so each time a person’s name is entered/searched on police databases, citizenship is automatically checked. And yes, that kind of search is fast, easy and could be automated.

For example, back when Canada used to have a long gun registry, the feds automated so every police check automatically generated a firearms registration check. Despite millions of “checks” which then Liberal government officials gloated about, the number of infractions involving long guns was close to nil… and there was never a single crime prevented by such checks… so when the Conservatives took office, they used those stats to justify killing off the registry.

Mind you, that didn’t prevent the next il-Liberal government under Sparklesocks O’Blackface from making even more draconian fireams legislation, effectively classifying any guns which look “scary” as either restricted or prohibited…

I hope when & if Pierre Poilievre’s Conservatives win office in the next election, they not only purge the il-Liberal’s insane gun grabbing but go beyond such to roll back the tide, so to speak. That being said, Poilievre is French for Rabbit-fur… so I’m tempering my expectations…

As to your #3), “Make any form of benefits subject to citizenship (current or pending)”, I would expand that to make entering this nation illegally grounds for a permanent disqualification for future citizenship. We have had a legal path to citizenship since this nations founding. It’s not that hard to obey the laws of your host nation. Their citizens do, you can too. When your very first action on American soil is to knowingly break the law a precedent has been set as to what type of citizen you would be.

I don’t like it, but I have to give some credence to this excuse.
