Unfortunately, their definitions of those two words fall under Montoya’s Law.

“You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means.”

The left has their own meanings for a lot of words; ‘Democracy’ stands out among them. They should be challenged in major venues about these mangling of the language on a regular basis.

Ever since Walter Duranty came back from Stalin’s Russia proclaiming “I have seen the future- and it works”, the NYT has managed to be stupid on a nearly continuous basis.

For the last century, they have been desperately hoping for a magickal unicorn to come prancing down a beam of light from Nirvana, bearing Utopia like a doughnut with sprinkles hanging on its horn.

If they can’t get that, they’ll settle for being the Ministry of Truth in the most Orwellian “absolute state” imaginable.

Neither one requires very much intelligence, so at least they are not being challenged on that account.

Actually, Lincoln Steffens said that in 1919.

But pretty much the same year (1920), the NY Times beclowned themselves by berating Robert Goddard for “ignorantly” believing that rocket vehicles would work in airless space, where there “was no air to push against.”

“Indeed men too often take upon themselves in the prosecution of their revenge to set the example of doing away with those general laws to which all alike can look for salvation in adversity, instead of allowing them to subsist against the day of danger when their aid may be required.” – Thucydides 3.84.3

Worth remembering that, for most, “peace” is absence of conflct. For a communist “peace” is absence of resistance. Yours.

For the left generally “peace” and “justice” are defined the same way.

      1. Them having absolute power.

      2. Them having the monopoly on the means of violence.

      3. In light of (1) and (2), them having the absolute authority to decide who lives- and who dies.

Pretty much every “progressive” policy going back to Plato’s Republic is based upon these three principles.

What few which are not seem to be mainly based on their craving for any chemical which will short-circuit their brains without adversely affecting their ability to procreate physically.

    Just a taste:

The next step after unlawful prosecution is persecution, the next step after that is proscription, and the ultimate act of proscription is murder. It doesn’t really matter if the first murder victim is a Democrat or a Republican, because after the first murder the other side will adopt the same tactic, as that’s how civil disturbances escalate into civil wars. ‘Tit for tat’ is a classic strategy in ‘game theory’, where one side gains an advantage for one round by attacking their opponent, and the other side then immediately negates the advantage by mirroring the actions of their opponent and counterattacking.

Speaking of Texas, it appears the Texas GOP are looking to make fundamental changes to protect the State’s integrity and future… everything from creating a gold and silver repository to back a Texas-based currency, to redressing so called “gender affirming therapy” to prevent schools and medical personnel from encouraging youths to “gender transition” especially without parental knowledge and consent…

IMHO, one of the most interesting changes being proposed is looking at making changes to electoral process to prevent heavily populated urban districts from dominating sparsely rural districts for positions of authority like Governor, Lt Governor, Attorney General etc. Given how cities tended to end up being wretched hives of scum and villainy, I expect the Dems will test the constitutionality of any such changes… If the GOP does manage to find a way to make this work, let’s hope it can be spread to other states.

The self declared opposition has so mangled word meanings and actions everywhere that they must receive what they have given in as outrageous applications as they have given, then some. While I consider such behavior abhorrent, it is necessary. Their actions without receiving greater pushback will encourage greater action until they just summarily execute. It is best neither gets to that stage of action.
As the game theorist seems to agree, that must be avoided.
The anti Republican (President) Derangement Syndrome must be ended by strong legal or constitutional actions. Their game will spin into the summary actions if not squelched. Their results so far have led to millions of deaths worldwide and here. Plus invading armies.
