Negative. FEMA has been pulling out of several sectors in the Helene Disaster Zone, because of ‘Threats directed at FEMA personnel’ by “Armed Militia Groups.”
This young will be learning Hebrew and Russo-Ukrainian soon enough…

That’s what the Patriot Brigade is for. As a domestic threat, they are slightly below the 501st Legion, looking as though they just got off work at Best Buy.

That was proven to completely false from the beginning.
Look the sources up yourself, they’re not hidden, unlike fema trucks.
Just another gov’t agency dragging out the approved excuses to cover their arses while they do nothing because none of them know how to since they weren’t hired based on ability to do the job.
I feel blessed that the only real loss I have after Helene is the power. At this point (week 3) we are still using 2 generators (1 less expensive to operate than the other) one at a time. The power poles are having to be replaced, as most were snapped or washed away, or both. The power company that serves Avery county, is from Tennessee and doing their best. I see a bunch of CH-47’s fly by, but I have yet to see anyone other than locals or volunteers help. I would use the Water Stove, but the pumps and the blower need electricity. Anyway, keep up the good work Chris, and thanks for all y’all’s prayers!
Prayers for you and all the victims there in my mountain home…
Your generator method is like mine; we only lost power from Milton for 3 days, Helene missed us altogether and saved her fury for y’all up there.
But alternating two 7K gens with 6-gal tanks and a 6-station transfer switch keeps us powered up 24hrs, for everything but the stove and central a/c (a window unit and a roll around for the bedrooms makes the 90’s tolerable). The limitation becomes gasoline, even with 10 cans five or six days is about the limit and most stations here start pumping again by then, still have to fight the old farts at the pumps though.
Anyway, we have big thanks to God to give, as the thing headed straight for daughter at the top of Tampa Bay and a direct hit would have flooded them out with the surge, their whole county was under mandatory evac but their friend who manages the local Holiday Inn Express hosted their family, his own, and a couple more, had the place to themselves and of course the last minute jog South meant no surge so big wind and power loss was the only damage. Then the thing roared across the state to us in the middle and the particular angle spared us almost totally, some trees down but not ours, no house damage, again just wind and power loss. Finally across to Jupiter on the east coast where son and family were hunkered down, never even losing elec. but if you noticed the outer bands spawned the worst tornado outbreak I’ve ever seen in my 60 plus years in the Fla, whipping all across the state and doing incredible damage to the places and streets unfortunate enough to be in their path, I mean vehicles and dumpsters on rooftops and whole streets of mobile homes wiped out.
Post-storm our biggest loss or inconvenience has been that the investment house we are selling could not close as insurance companies won’t write policies on anything while there’s a tropical storm warning or hurricane anywhere in the Atlantic and Gulf areas…still not closed but hopefully will work out. But either way I’ll take our situation here in the bullseye of Florida over the misery our people are dealing with up there.
That whole claim of militiamen threatening FEMA at gun point appears to be total BS. No pictures. No evidence of a militia even existing. There’s more probability that fed employees who sit on their asses for most of the year until a disaster strikes made this up to get out of going out in the boonies and doing their jobs.
Dammit Chris, I have managed to inure myself from MSM or social media. Knowing the ills of society is one thing but you and your “cartoon” always spotlight it and make me care. Strong work.
Strong work, indeed. I’ve heard the measure of art is the emotional impact. I’m about ready to head to unspecified location (behind a strip mall) to rescue a wee one from a monster.

I’m beginning to see why the little waif would be a good addition to the Owens family.
She’s already got the right hair color…
Oh Shiite!
They are going send in a SWAT team!
Arrest and cuff her and

That little one could use a break of that sort.
