Doesn’t everybody see the real objective – If you make all our noble efforts to fight against evil being turned to sh*t, who would support us, for that matter who would want to support that within our own military. They want to make it seem futile to even join the effort. Watch how recruiting will be greatly reduced. People, we have to stand up against the real evil that is being foisted upon us. Let’s rally against it! I want to be in that crowd depicted in this single frame.

And those same said sentiments, according to Homeland Security’s latest “evaluation” makes us and most all other vets “potential domestic terrorists” who need monitoring if not “containment” along with all those who do not wish to take the jab.

It makes me wonder with all the intentional provocation if they don’t actually WANT an uprising and use it as an excuse to try and declare martial law/suspension of the Constitution. The biggest problem with their “logic” is that once the ball starts rolling (SHTF) they are under the delusion that they”ll be able to ‘control’ it. Nothing could be further from the truth……I fully believe that the sentiment will spread like a wildfire driven by a hurricane.

This drives home the fact to everybody that the crew in DC has no clue what they are doing, whether his “handlers” advised him or not and I think people will remember simply because it’s such an irresponsible act.

It ain’t Saigon, though some want it to be. A-stan hasn’t been in the news for months, if not years, and it won’t be another Carter period of the Commies going wild. Shih has lots of troubles of his own and his neighbors (Inja, Oz, Japan, the Philippines, Nationalist China) have all been rearming against something like this.

What may happen is that all of the anger over inflation, CRT, BLM, illegals, inflation, etc., begins to crystallize over this as proof the whole crowd has got to go.

If so, some good may yet come of this mess.

      • August 16, 2021 at 3:49 pm

The good colonel is a military hero and a fine soldier, pursuing an ever changing mission ordered by inept bureaucrats that never had a coherent one to order to begin with and in any case was fatally flawed from the beginning.

All of the details and blame and soul-searching are for naught. We had no damn business putting our soldiers on the ground in that shithole and the other ancillary shitholes.

Our mission should never have been to try to save, educate, provide for or train those people or to try to nation-build or teach them how to build infrastructure or provide for their own defense. We should never have set boots on the ground, period.

Our mission was or should have been retribution and defense of the United States of America. Those objectives could have been accomplished from the air and sea. It really is/was that simple.

Instead, here we go again. We will take the blame and the hate from the entire world for spending 20 years accomplishing nothing but sacrificing ourselves for people and objectives that could have been accomplished in one year or less.

Until we adopt an alternative to majoritarian politics, such as going from what we have to Approval Voting, we’re stuck with a two party system, and sadly there is no other option for sane Democrats to run to at this time that is not the Hated GOP. The Republicans, thanks to their membership in the UniParty, can’t attract them. If the Republicans kick out the Elitists in favor of the Populist refugees from the Democratic party (that shows nothing but disdain for them) that will help, but it will also contaminate the GOP with the same Give Me More disease the Democrats have built their entire party on.
I believe the majority of the country has declared themselves Independent, but that is not a Party and they have to settle for the scraps offered up by the Majors.
Someday this may all settle out, but in the meantime I’m watching with anticipation while the Chinese, Russians, Pakistanis, and Iranians rip each other and themselves to bits in the Graveyard of Empires we just slipped out of.

It’s clear that 1. he had nothing to do with this, as he is dement and has nothing to do with anything. His Puppet Masters pulled his strings. 2. Putting #2 Puppet Cackles “in charge” as pretend POTUS will not change anything either, as her Puppet Masters are also pulling all her strings. Xiden Biden said that the ANA had 300,000 well (?) trained troops to fight against 70,000 Taliban fighters and there was no way that the Taliban would win and that there would be not be a Saigon moment in Kabul.
There are around 31 million Afghan resident. 42 %Pashtun, 27% Tajik, 5 tribes below 9%, and 4% unspecified.
They are 99% plus Muslim. Most all follow Sharia.
By Sharia that made it 31 million Army of Islam members against whatever forces were there. The 300,000 Afghan troops were part of the 31 million plus Muslims.
So it has been. So it shall be in the future.
Vietnam had a similar situation where the Vietnamese have fought foreigners for hundreds of years.
Much of both opposition melted when directly confronted by their own.
Islam has been expanded by Afghanistan and the assaults upon the Middle East and North Africa.
    By plan.
That is an over simplification I made.
But do not go to war where we are not wanted.
Our welcome in Afghanistan was over in 3 months. Bin Laden either needed to be caught or killed, or we should have left after 3 months there. I actually wanted a 2 month limit. I know how the Afghans act after centuries of acting the same way for centuries. Nation building was a declaration of war in and of itself. The reasons are many.
