NO. Not a problem “race”. Genuine Africans, far blacker, are fine, upstanding citizens. Rural and suburban “African-Americans” are generally fine, upstanding citizens, despite great poverty in the former case. Most AAs in the military are fine, upstanding citizens.

There used to be something called a “social contract”. We, the people, paid taxes and didn’t do uncouth things, in return for which our “betters” gave us laws and police to enforce them, courts to punish those who broke the laws to hurt us, schools to educate our children, and so on.

Now, they have taken away the police, and the courts. And we are now to be rendered defenseless against the criminals. Who will never be charged with violating this law, any more than they are charged with anything else now.

These are evil people and white, black, brown, pink or plaid; they can’t be allowed tgo turn people against one another because the resulting conflict brings them prestige and money. We all bleed the same colour and they’re only too happy to see that blood spill in order to keep their positions.
Another viewpoint is that we are racing toward the problems that are manufactured to distract us from the unconstitutional, bureaucratic overreach which has taken over nearly every aspect of what was once a republic. It’s a race toward problems as opposed to a stand for freedom. Every new problem created by all those alphabet agencies is a new race toward slavery. It is apparent that most of people in modern government have not read and understood the constitution and they certainly don’t understand it’s original purpose.
The new “gun control” bill Democrats just introduced is a case in point.

I have little doubt that it will pass, with broad GOP support, and be signed into law by Joe. It’s what he’s had dreams about (many of them wet) for fifty years.
There used to be something called a “social contract”. We, the people, paid taxes and didn’t do uncouth things, in return for which our “betters” gave us laws and police to enforce them, courts to punish those who broke the laws to hurt us, schools to educate our children, and so on.
All we asked beyond that was to be left in peace, be protected from foreign threats, and etc. And in return, we didn’t kick if our “betters” skimmed some off the top to enrich themselves, because we understood the nature of greed.
Now, they have taken away the police, and the courts. They have turned the schools into indoctrination centers, and our children can no longer read, write or do “‘rithmetic”, but they can shout slogans, riot, and throw firebombs. They no longer protect us from foreign threats- they applaud them and shout “More! More! Harder! Harder!” like a ten-dollar hooker at 3 AM hoping for a five-buck bonus.
And the criminals rule the streets because our “betters” admire them. And depend on them for their “party drugs” and domestic help.
And we are now to be rendered defenseless against the criminals. Who will never be charged with violating this law, any more than they are charged with anything else now.
There is a fine line between cynicism and greed, as opposed to sadism and tyranny. And our “betters” have pretty much crossed it.
We have very likely reached our Oliver Cromwell moment.
If this bill becomes law, we may have to exercise John Ross’ “Unintended Consequences” option.

Several generations of America’s special needs children have never chosen well from the opportunities to be found in this country. Why must we all continue to pay? And the enablers ensure that they are far removed from the chaos sown. I miss Professor Walter Williams. I revere Dr. Sowell. I’d vote Dr. Hanson if he ever ran for office. Not so much the race hustlers. Be prepared, semper paratus, when you venture forth into the urban landscape. Education. That opens doors. Books, bricks, welding rods, history, anything. Jus5 get off the frigging dole. We are tired of the chaos and the cost.

Other than a few DNA based medical peculiarities, ‘Race’ is relevant only to racists. The overwhelming majority of what is viewed as and called racism today is not racism. It is culturalism, as in being opposed to a specific culture. That has been recognized in numerous comments above. In the 50’s & 60’s I was mostly raised in Houston, where at the time true racism was fairly ubiquitous. I was inculcated into racism, and subsequently EDUCATED out of it. I am still very much ANTI the dominant Black Thug poor-oppressed-me culture, but I’m not racist at all.

Most of my time in the USAF mirrors your familial experience.. Character has no race; nor does lack of character. (Same goes for religion.) Shortly before I arrived there in the late 70’s there were mess hall riots at my northern tier base (Master Diver, were you there?). And some of my black contemporaries worried about having official photos in their records, but from my (albeit white) perspective those problems seemed to recede through the 90’s. Towards the end of my career, all seemed excited to have CJCS Colin Powell show up at my unit to personally present a medal for actions in the follow up to Desert Storm.
There were problems no doubt, but we continued to make progress until about 2008 when color blindness became a dirty concept.

At which time “race” like every damn thing else, was/is weaponized against us, and the destructive effect on the Republic and even the terrible collateral damage to blacks themselves. be damned.

You blame race for problems. I am reliably informed that we all have free will and individual responsibility. I have enjoyed your cartoons but I am bothered by your repeated criticism of races/religions as a group.

100% of any grouping isn’t ‘bad’ and neither is 100% of any group ‘good’.
These groupings, however, can be used to get bad people control over all the other groups, and it doesn’t have to be for very long. Immense damage can be inflicted in just a few short years, as both our countries and a lot in Europe are starting to find out what their forced embrace of ‘diversity’ was really all about.
In order for all peoples to live toigether in peace and harmony, they have to WANT to live together without distinction and without forcing their ‘distinctiveness’ on everyone else while ignoring that of others.
Everyone wants their ‘rights’ but nobody wants the responsibilities that go with them.
