It’s not the carrier, it’s the carrier group.

    Don’t Touch the Boats.
By now people should know about Reagan’s “appropriate response.”

This is heading in a very interesting direction, storyline-wise.

Chris’s observation regarding big ships is spot-on. The oceans will be swept clear of every large military ship that can be spotted. And today, EVERY warship can be spotted. No surface ship will be able to survive in a total war scenario (with or without nukes). FPV missiles and A.I. will make that clear. Very insightful, Chris.

It’s all about range and accuracy, for now.

The former’s range is limited and the latter’s accuracy is questionable.

For now. Long enough to melt them from carrier range.

Note when the Israeli and their American mercs snuck into Arab lands to attack, they were wiped out as they were spotted at the git.

You can’t hide anymore, anywhere…but neither can they.

        Again, range and accuracy.

Night raids and sneak attacks are history.

I tried to get the concept of night vision advances from back in the Olden Days versus inexpensive stuff available in stores today.

What blew the guy away was a night coyote hunt filmed in pitch blackness.

It looked like broad daylight. Hiding under a reflective blanket is now just silly.

See Star Trek: Season 1, Episode 23 – “A Taste of Armageddon.”
