it depends on the school. The bad ones make the news and not every college is on the level of Evergreen. A good engineering school would work. That is also the role of the parents. Why does a parent pay for a degree in puppetry or women’s studies? Why get into debt to pay for a degree with no job prospects? Insanity. Ask the college or university if their graduates actually work in their chosen field.

Hillsdale College would be an excellent choice. They’re fiercely independent and refuse all gummint specie. Further, they require successfully completing a course of study on the Constitution in order to graduate.

I was wondering how the girls would grow up in the storylines. My fears are unjustified. They are pretty normal. And I see lessons for parents in there, All is intentional here, and I’m watching with interest. Well done, so far!
Thinking about it, a kid that would give up a full ride to run his parents’ ranch can’t be all bad, and it would go a long way to consolidating the assets if the RR and DD Ranches.
Maybe Zed has already run the cost/benefits analysis through his mind, and is keeping up the “gruff papa” guise because that’s what is expected in this situation.

Reminds me of the time I finally let my stepson and his wife know I had found a certain pair of VHS tapes. As they were bragging about what I didn’t know.
Talk about Freudian slips, my wife and I were talking about how incompetent the President is. Our son walked in, overheard some of the conversation and asked who we were talking about. I answered “Joe Brandon!” …we all cracked up…
Perhaps she’s seen nothing.
