I’m probably wrong on this but here goes.
In London many years ago prisoners had a sign outside their cell that stated what they had been locked up for.
If for stealing the sign said; For Stealing
If for assault; For Assault
Illegal sex acts?? For Unlawful Carnal Knowlege.
It was a lot easier for the guards to write it once they abbreviated it down to four letters that today is a popular slang word.
Indeed, many may not have known that. Now they do. Good stuff.

It’s from Middle Dutch “fokken” = “poke”, in an obvious metaphor. Dutch and English sailors mingled in port, and many words were exchanged between the two languages.
But my question is: There are Dutch families named Fokker, including the famous aircraft designer and manufacturer. What do they think their name means?

I’ve always heard that, but have never been inspired to look it up until now…
(Consider the source, but as this inquiry is apolitical…)
The word most likely derives from old Germanic words for “copulate” – “fokken” (Dutch), “fukka” (Norwegian), and/or “focka” (Swedish), with the further note that “fock” means penis.
I prefer to use the OED for such questions; their online presence has this:
Origin
Early 16th century: of Germanic origin (compare Swedish dialect focka and Dutch dialect fokkelen); possibly from an Indo-European root meaning ‘strike’, shared by Latin pugnus fist.

Lucky they were Nobles with a King’s approval. Normally anyone who was caught having sex out of wedlock was required to appear before the Hallmote (village court) and
Leirwite (Fine) was levied. Then you had to deal with the clergy.
I did read some place that this common curse ‘fuck’ is derived from the name of some poor Medieval fellow name Sir John Fukker. If I can find the source again, I’ll include it.
And in case anyone is wondering, Thomas Crapper, a plumber, put his name on every manhole cover in Victorian London, although the use of the word ‘crap’ originated as a Medieval reference to the chaff from threshing grains.

I bring you passion of a hungry mind
Yearning to eat of knowledge that can strip

About its beauty in a strangling grip.

And, while I’m at it, Pepsi is from Chicago about as much as Coke is from Atlanta. Headquarters may be there, but bottling plants for both are all over the country.

A short time ago the Republican party was thought to be “going down in
flames”…. now the tables have turned and the radical progressives have
decided that they have not gone far enough to the left…(why they lost).
Yesterday, on his final world tour, Barama as much as told the anarchists
it is their right to protest, without mentioning it did not include the right to destroy property, and attack innocent people.
A lot of these demonstrators are students, and tomorrow`s leaders,
many of us will not be around when they take over, but our descendants
may find themselves in a new “Civil War” to effect a medium in society.
There was a news item last night, something from Stephen Hawking, who has nothing left working for him but his incredible mind.
His prediction is that this planet of ours will, in a thousand years, be empty of humans. And if we want to survive as a species, we need to start seriously looking at colonizing other worlds. (Yeah, Steve, but we have to FIND suitable worlds first, and we are working on it.)
And he’s right: the protests and restlessness and attempts to dominate a population group are typical primate behavior, exacerbated by a sense of a lack of space, no room to expand, etc., but that is a mistake. There is plenty of room to expand.
As long as we’re stuck here with no real room to expand, we will probably continue to see these things happen. However, I do think that giving misguided children like Sam and the protesters their own planets where they have to start from scratch is a REALLY good idea.
We can send them off while we wave goodbye. Then we can go back to making cookies, writing poetry, having a nice lunch of wine, cheese, fresh bread, fruit, ham or beef on the back porch on a lazy summer afternoon.

Mother Nature will end up dealing with us in many unpleasant ways.
Another round of an Yersinia pestis variant, we are already seeing the Shake, Rattle and Roll parade around the world and the outward bound 30 year round trip away from the Sun will cause the reduction in food crops.
Delilah- I like the back porch on a lazy summer afternoon after the spoiled brat malcontents get sent off into their brave new worlds, but you left out something really important. (yes my mind went there)
Then there’s Liberal, Leftist, and Looney which are relegated to the trash heap of history.

We really do need those telephone sanitary cleaners in society. It is just a question of how do we tolerate them. Sending them off to a different plant can have drastic results for all involved. We may be living them. 🙂
Good read. Yes. Of course, but. he misses so much and I caste it into the pile of those who would have been happy with Hillary and the destruction that would have ensued. The article has a problem with applying the law. It rejects the use of feelings as a campaign method, but that is the only reason democrats ever get elected. It names the Statue of Liberty as a beacon beckoning people here, yet, it was intended to be a beacon to shine the light of freedom across the world. that freedom across the world was rather dark back then, and still is getting darker. In the last words it recognizes it as a beacon, yet has no clue as to the meaning of the beacon. The article has let go what America was intended to be already. It lacks comprehension of what has occurred. It seems to want the familiarity of the forces that forced us into the pickle that we are in now.
The article names Muslims as just another religion that you are born into for most, like evangelicals or whatever, then he abandons any look at their effects, or what they mean. Christianity is the system that brought about people who banned the slave trade across much of the world. The evil white man, Christianity, and western civilization attempted to end a system endemic across the world in various forms. Those attempting the actions were reviled by “logical” people in their day. The founding fathers are reviled for only setting the seeds of such reform by ideas blasted today as slaver, like reducing the voting strength of slave states by defining slaves as counting a fraction of a vote consideration in the state’s population. It is well written and contains many good ideas, but these appear to be meant to mask his attacks.

So Canada, if we did NOT want to become Hunger Games District 12; the Leftist agenda we have had running for over 24 years had to be stopped. Is Trump the greatest? But Jesus called them to Himself and said to them, “You know that those who are considered rulers over the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” ~ Mark 10:42-45

Nice thing about the recent major victory against globalism and evil. I had some time to look through stuff and found a letter with some teasers from Chris M of DDQ and DD stuff. Awww…. is Skye a little jealous of her sister? Does she need her teddy bear? A hug and a cup of hot chocolate, and a blankie?
Delilah.
That was marvelous.
Oh. Maybe Skye needs a safety pin.
Or, perhaps, an electrical aid?
She could get a lelo rabbit. A bit pricey but it works…
I once heard an ‘electrical aid’ referred to as BOB – acronym for ‘battery operated boyfriend’.
Used to have a BOG ’til I caught her with BOB.
Skye has spoken of her jealousy a number of times but still fails to understand the nature of Zed and Sam’s relationship is based in mutual respect & admiration while Skye continues to seek transactional relationships… as in “What’s in this for me?”
Skye consistently chooses poorly. With the exception of Tucker.
It would take a major sift in her internal compass in order to realign herself to true North. Not wandering lost some place out in bum fuck Egypt.
So, what Skye doesn’t realize is that, contrary to what my wife says, men are simple creatures:
1) If I’m not horny make me a sandwich (best advice ever)
2) Respect me and I’ll love you..not respecting your man is the fastest way to kill a relationship.
3) Loyalty above all. For better or worse…etc….
Sam has shown these in spades (well maybe not the sammich making, but she has other attributes 🙂
Skye has not, which is why Sam gets to ride Zed like the stud he is and Skye sleeps alone.
Through her FACE, maybe…
-24- Sure beats Shakespeare
Bravo
Let me know when you publish
Time to light some passion with my desert rose
See ya tomorrow
On behalf of my mother, thank you.
And thank you!

In their minds, they had it all.
And now, they have nothing. Their DMC is losing power to the New Media, they are not likely to rule SCOTUS, charter schools are likely to make great gains and they do not have the influx of millions of new democrats they anticipated.
If we keep it together the pendulum has started swinging back, and it can be YUGE!
The Democrats are becoming a regional party.
Intra-regional. It’s not about North/South or East/West now (well it’s always about the South for some of us ;), but pockets of socialist villainy within otherwise American states…take a look at a county breakdown of red/blue in NY, IL, even CA to see what I mean.
I had us somewhere around Rome 375 A.D. with the Visigoths massing
outside the gates, but now we have a new Emperor (Caesar) who may
turn out to be our Saviour.
I hope all turns out well in the ‘Swamp’.
We might just examine the ultimate suicidal leap the DNC is contemplating:
They are very seriously considering a black muslim for the DNC chair.
Howzat for seeing the writing on the wall? (NOT!)
Shaka, when the walls fell.
Good one.
“Temba, his arms open.”
“The river Temarc, in winter.”
“Uzani, his army with fists open.”
“Uzani, his army with fists closed.”
That will be an opportunity.
“The beast at Tanagra.”
“Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra.”
(and yes, this is obscure and actual has meaning.)
(yes my mind went there)
So…Literature, Lunch, Libation, Laid, and Lazing.
See? There are some really nice L words to go with all the nasty ones.
Lascivious, Lewd and Licentious have no place on the back porch.
They are relegated to DC, NY, LA, SF and Chicago
🙂
Then there’s Liberal, Leftist, and Looney which are relegated to the trash heap of history.
We really do need those telephone sanitary cleaners in society. It is just a question of how do we tolerate them. Sending them off to a different plant can have drastic results for all involved. We may be living them. 🙂
Where’s a good B Ark when you need one.
Good read here:

Good read.
It is well written and contains many good ideas, but these appear to be meant to mask his attacks.
interesting words, but be very cautious in believing the analysis on any part included in it.
After getting more than half way through that, I decided I was not seeing anything new. So Canada, if we did NOT want to become Hunger Games District 12; the Leftist agenda we have had running for over 24 years had to be stopped. Is Trump the greatest? No. But Hillery and her supporters Believe she Is. That would have been the final blow.
Well that does explain the tendency among leftists to be also atheists.
Power is the wage of greatness, and you want me to be a servant and slave? WTF Mark?
Wear TWO safety pins, and hang a white cleaning patch between ’em. Tell the snowflakes it’s the diaper they need.
Re: the anarchists, and spoiled rotten, entitled schoolchildren, their
Commie teachers, and professors, and other assorted Brats:
“Some people are like slinkies, they`re not good for anything,
but they bring a smile to your face, when pushed downstairs”
Since I would never know if I had an original thought.. don`t know
where that came from.
I heard some that fuck was an English corockilar word meaning sowing Like a farmer would fuck his field with some kind of grain
“It’s not discrimination when WE do it…”

God how I hope these mindless twits die in the dark, cold and alone.

From now on when I would have said fuck or fucking, I’m gonna say fok or fokken. All because of this here ‘toon and its comment gallery. I like it better, and so will my wife (I’m tired of getting slapped upside the head when it slips).
She who must be obeyed. 🙂
Chris, is there some way you can add a “like” function to these comments? Some of these are so good they that they deserve applause, but adding another comment is sort of cluttering.
Nice thing about the recent major victory against globalism and evil. I had some time to look through stuff and found a letter with some teasers from Chris M of DDQ and DD stuff. Whenever it gets here it gets here. I think he is still on last year with me, but that is OK. I am in no hurry. (Unlike… no i won’t say it.)
And as good as comments are, I never liked the applause bar. That is just my opinion, such as it is. I might need a cry room and a binky and blanky with comfort dogs and cats if nobody likes me. (Cue Judy Garland: They like me. They really like me.) I like ideas fighting their way into people’s minds. Maybe I am just difficult? I have heard that before.
I got an extra Skye High package from CM a few weeks ago (he told me on the phone it was because I did a double donation but I still don’t think I deserve that)…anyway, I’ll save it for when I see you next Not Yet.
I like what Petercat said when Trump took FL the night of 11/8…”Yippee Ki Yay Mother Fokker” or something like that. I might use that for my “likes”.
Judy Garland said that too? I knew Sally Field went all wacky/weepy with it:

And oh yeah, you difficult?
Nooo…
Sweet like sugah and smooth like buttah…
Wasn’t that Sally Field?
